The Idrija Lace School has decided to take part in the project Intrecci naturali after the invitation from the Italian lace-making school in Gorica. As part of the above mentioned project they will cooperate with famous fashion designers Thessy Schoenholzer Nichols and Fabio Feroce. They will make some high fashion creations, which will contain hand-made lace, and present them at a fashion show in Gorica in October, 2007. Other guests have also been invited to take part in the fashion show. At the Idrija Lace School we have decided to create a fashion creation called The Dragonfly just for this occasion. At work our main aim was to include the children in the creation and acquaint them with a wholesome approach from an idea to the final fashion creation with lace. The Slovenian fashion designer Maja Drljepan helped us with the design. She got the inspiration for this creation in the fairy tale about the Blue Dragonfly. We have assembled a group of students who have, under the guidance of the teacher Ana Vončina and with the help of Maja Svetlik, drawn the patterns for the lace. In fact, they have drawn a fairy tale and then made the lace under the guidance of the teacher of lace-making at the Idrija Lace School.

A show on the topic of creating a fashion creation with authorial lace of the students of the Idrija Lace School will be presented to the public at the time of the Idrija Lace Festival, 23 June 2007 at 5 p.m.
