The primary activity of the Idrija Lace School is the education of children in the area of lace-making according to the curriculum of the lace-making school for children, as well as various aim groups of adult individuals. We also offer a wide selection of quality handmade lace.

The school is active in the Slovenian as well as the European area, through various activities and projects we connect with the Slovenian and foreign lace-making centres.

The head office of the school is in Idrija. The departments of the lace-making school for children operate in Idrija, Sp. Idrija, Cerkno, Novaki, Ledine, Godovič, Črni Vrh nad Idrijo, Col, Podkraj and Vipava. About 400 children aged between 6 to 15 attend the school each year. To them the lace-making school is a free time activity to which they dedicate their time. The various different forms of education for the adults take place in Idrija and, depending on the popular demand, also in other places at home and abroad.
