Half-day workshops of making Idrija Lace usually take place on Saturday mornings at special occasions such as:
– Easter Holidays (the workshop is held two weeks before Easter holidays),
-Idrija Lace Festival (the workshop is held on the third Saturday in June, it is the time of the Idrija Lace Festival which takes place in Idrija every third weekend in June),
– Christmas Holidays (the workshop takes place on the first or second Saturday in December).
For the workshops we try to prepare attractive patterns for making Idrija Lace. Skilled lacemaking teachers from Idrija Lace School, speaking Slovene or English language, will teach you how to make them.

Current workshop: Spiders, lacemaking workshop within 41.th Festival of Idria Lace
This year, Idrija Lace School dug into the treasure chest of techniques and elements of Idrija lace and focused of spiders (pajki). The presentation of the new manual Idrijska čipka: pajki (Idrija lace: spiders ) will shed light on how the lacemaking knowledge was upgraded with new solutions and different usages.
Join the adult workshop to add to your knowledge of spiders in lace – we are certain that you will also enjoy in the company of other cheerful lacemakers. A basic knowledge of lacemaking is a necessary precondition to join, along with prior application.
