Description
The scarves are created using the felting technique, where 100% natural silk is embedded between a combination of fine merino and alpaca wool. This distinctive processing method allows for the inclusion of authentic Idrija Lace, which is made from metallised and cotton thread, lending the scarves an exceptional visual and textural quality.
The wool component is not a woven fabric but hand-felted wool. This authentic artisanal process naturally results in variations in material density (reflected in differing wool thicknesses) and allows for subtle shifts in colour shade depending on the density of the felting.
These characteristics are an integral part of the design and an expression of authentic handcraftsmanship.
